Derek Lee

GIS Director. M.S. in Resource Analysis / Geographic Information Systems, 2006 (St. Mary’s University); B.A. Anthropology and Mathematics, 1996 (Luther College). Mr. Lee joined BCA in 1996. He manages our computer network, including all computer hardware and software. Derek produces or oversees the production of our maps and report figures.

Mr. Lee specializes in custom software design and implementation to manage our archeological databases and GIS applications. Other specialties include GIS preparation, GPS applications, mapping, bathymetric survey, and inter-application software design. He has made GIS and graphical contributions to over 1,000 projects, contributed to regional journal publications, and presented at international conferences. Mr. Lee has extensive field experience on survey, testing, and data recovery projects.
